Meet Pastor Jane Rubietta
Pastor Jane has been filling our pulpit for quite some time, on a very part time basis, but she is now our exclusive Pastor! We are grateful that she has a strong background in preaching, teaching and nurturing through scripturally based hope. She has been preaching and speaking in pulpits around the world for 25 years, with professional exposure to thought leaders throughout the country via interviews and panels. She's served as co-director of an international conference for 30 years and spent 20 years training writers and speakers, and (this is a direct quote) "a million years as a clergy spouse". We're so grateful for her warm and spirited sense of humor!
Jane began preaching in high school; she reports that it was a dismal sermon. However, her English teacher invited her onto the speech team, and her bevy of outgoing friends convinced her that auditioning for stage productions made sense. She traveled with her youth group performing musicals in the Midwest. Jane fell in love with Jesus en route to college graduation, and she also pursued her love of Scripture, research, and finding ways to apply it to her own life. She’s passionate about communicating hope to others . . . the kind of hope that changes the world from the inside out. Her calling cemented after college, when she applied to Dallas Theological Seminary, although God had other plans and sent her to Trinity Divinity School. It was there she got engaged to and married Rich and they have been partners in ministry ever since.
Pastor Jane has an amazing husband, three tall kids, and five grandkids. She loves dark chocolate, long walks in the woods, gardens and chasing the sunrise and sunset.
Schooling:
Trinity Divinity School, Deerfield, IL
Bodenseehof Bibel Schule, Germany (No, she doesn’t speak German)
Indiana University, BS Business
